Optional Annual Maintenance Plan
Keeping Your Estate Plan Current as Life Changes
Creating an estate plan is an important step in protecting yourself, your family, and your legacy. But effective estate planning should not be viewed as a one-time transaction.
Life changes. Families grow. Children become adults. Marriages begin and end. Assets change. Businesses are bought or sold. Retirement approaches. Health circumstances shift. And estate and tax laws continue to evolve.
A plan that was thoughtfully designed for you several years ago may not fully reflect your life or goals today.
The Hobbs Legacy Law Annual Maintenance Plan is an optional program designed for clients who want an ongoing relationship with our firm and a proactive approach to keeping their estate plan current.
Rather than placing your documents on a shelf and wondering years later whether they still work, the Maintenance Plan provides regular opportunities to review your planning, address changes, and ask questions as life evolves.
Who Is Eligible?
The Annual Maintenance Plan is available to clients who engage Hobbs Legacy Law Group, LLC for one of the following planning packages:
- Legacy Plan
- Legacy Trust Plan
- Foundation Plan + Benefits Preservation Plan
- Legacy Care Plan
- Legacy Care Trust Plan
- Legacy Care Protection Plan
The Annual Maintenance Plan is not available with the Foundation Plan. Foundation Plan clients may request future updates or additional planning services at the firm’s then-current rates. Clients who later upgrade to a Legacy Plan or Legacy Trust Plan may become eligible to enroll.
Please contact our office for current Maintenance Plan pricing and enrollment information.
Why Maintain Your Estate Plan?
Some of the most significant estate planning problems arise not because a family failed to create a plan, but because an existing plan was never revisited after circumstances changed.
Your plan may need attention following:
- Marriage or divorce
- Birth or adoption of a child or grandchild
- Death of a family member or beneficiary
- Significant changes in assets or financial circumstances
- Retirement
- Sale or acquisition of a business
- Purchase or sale of real estate
- Relocation to another state
- Changes in estate or tax laws
- Changes in a beneficiary’s circumstances or needs
- Diagnosis of a serious illness or disability
- Changes in trustees, executors, guardians, or agents
The Annual Maintenance Plan is designed to help identify and address these changes before they create unintended consequences.

Your Annual Estate Plan Review
One of the most valuable benefits of the Maintenance Plan is the opportunity to meet with us each year and consider whether your plan still reflects your life.
During your annual review, we may discuss:
- Changes in your family
- Changes in your assets and financial circumstances
- Changes in your goals and priorities
- Beneficiary designations
- Trust funding and asset ownership
- Changes in fiduciary appointments
- Relevant legal and tax developments
- New planning opportunities or concerns
If changes are appropriate, we can determine what updates should be made to keep your plan aligned with your wishes.
Ongoing Access to Our Team
Clients sometimes hesitate to contact their attorney with a question because they are concerned that every telephone call or email will result in an unexpected bill.
Maintenance Plan members have ongoing access to our team for routine questions concerning their existing estate plan.
Whether you have a question about a beneficiary designation, trust funding, a family change, a fiduciary appointment, or whether a recent event affects your plan, we want you to contact us.
You should not have to wait for your next formal estate planning engagement to ask, “Does this change anything?”
Trust Funding & Implementation Support
A thoughtfully drafted estate plan is only part of the planning process. Asset ownership, beneficiary designations, and trust funding can be equally important to whether the plan ultimately works as intended.
Maintenance Plan members receive ongoing guidance concerning:
- Trust funding
- Beneficiary designations
- Asset ownership
- Real estate and titling questions related to the existing plan
- Implementation of planning recommendations
- Ongoing maintenance of the estate plan
Our goal is not simply to create your documents. We want to help ensure that your planning continues to function as intended.
Education as the Law—and Your Life—Changes
Estate planning laws, tax laws, planning strategies, and financial circumstances evolve over time.
Maintenance Plan members receive educational resources designed to help them stay informed, which may include:
- Client seminars and webinars
- Estate planning newsletters
- Legal and tax updates
- Planning alerts
- Educational materials and resources
When a development may affect your planning, we want you to understand it and have the opportunity to address it.
